The golden rule

On your next turn, replace the 3 first, see what you draw, and only then decide your move.

Why order matters:

Q-Q-Jo-2 and K-K-K-K

and then picked your Talon.

Your Talon included a 3, which now needs to be replaced. You also already have a Queen in your hand.

At the beginning of your next turn, you meld the 3 and replace it from the Draw Pile. The replacement card is another Queen.

You now have a pair of Queens in your hand, with a Queen sitting on top of the Discard Pile.

Because you have only replaced the 3 — you have not yet taken your draw for the turn — you can use your pair of Queens to Pick the Pack and complete a Canasta.

Even if no Queens had previously been melded, you could still use the pair to Pick the Pack and start a new Queen meld.
